[April 10, 2026] U1 University (President Jung Hyun-yong) has begun a full-scale effort to secure outstanding talent from Central Asia by partnering with a key university in the Osh region, the educational hub of southern Kyrgyzstan.
On the afternoon of the 9th (local time), the U1 University delegation visited Osh State University to meet with Rector Kozhobekov Kudayberdi Gaparalievich and sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two institutions.
The main contents of this agreement include: △Cultivating global talent in connection with the RISE (Regional Innovation System & Education) project, △Establishing cultural exchange partnerships, and △Fostering global smart farm talent and educational exchange. In particular, U1 University agreed to provide the ‘Chungbuk RISE Talent Scholarship’ to international students who complete standard field training after admission, establishing a practical support system that allows local students to focus on their studies.
Following the signing ceremony, the U1 University delegation visited the ‘C&K Korean Language Institute’ in the Osh region to hold a large-scale study abroad information session for local students. Numerous students interested in admission to U1 University and studying in Korea flocked to the event, showing intense interest. U1 University expects this to secure a significant first-mover advantage in the Central Asian international student recruitment market.

President Jung Hyun-yong of U1 University stated, “It is very meaningful to establish a partnership with a university in the Osh region, the heart of Kyrgyz education.” He added, “By applying U1 University’s strengths—the RISE project model and our international student competency enhancement system—to the local context, we will spare no support to ensure that the future generations of both countries grow into key talents with global capabilities.”
Meanwhile, through this four-day business trip to Kyrgyzstan, U1 University successfully completed MOU signings with four major universities, visited three Korean language educational institutions, and held multiple admission briefings, achieving significant results in educational exchange within the Central Asian region.
